  • The 10,000 World Architects Exhibition retains the right to exhibit entrants’ materials at venues other than UIA2011 Tokyo within the scope of permission granted by the Executive Committee. Entrants will be notified when such actions are taken.
  • We may delete an exhibit without the entrant’s permission when its content has been identified by the Executive Committee to coincide with one or more of the conditions below:
    -- The entrant’s name and posted contents do not match (e.g. entry with an exhibit that lacks the entrant’s credit)
    -- Posting of an apparently offensive photo or posting in an inappropriate manner (e.g. obscene photos and identity spoofing).
    -- Postings that include fictitious contents (e.g. posting under the name of an obviously fictitious character).
    In addition to the above, we may temporarily remove some contents after receiving a complaint.

About Copyright 

  • All rights concerning the publication of materials presented upon entry in this Exhibition belong to the 10,000 World Architects Exhibition Executive Committee and The Japan Institute of Architects, the organizer of this Exhibition.
  • The 10,000 World Architects Exhibition Executive Committee retains the right to use, without a fee, materials entered in this Exhibition for use on the web or in exhibits, publications, advertisements and other forms without the permission of the creator of the work. Any proceeds gained from such usage will be used as part of the Exhibition’s operating expenses.
  • The copyright on project images belong to the original copyright holder. The organizer, however, may use the posted image data in this Exhibition and/or its incidental projects by displaying the name of the copyright holder without the prior approval of the copyright holder or incurring payment of user fees or other charges. Uploaded image data will be displayed both in the Web Exhibition and Poster Panel Exhibition.

The 10,000 World Architects Exhibition Executive Committee takes the importance of protecting personal information seriously. We collect, use and manage the security of personal information along the policy outlined below in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Law and other relevant laws and regulations.

We collect information using fair and legal means and in a lawful and appropriate manner.

We may use your personal information to send notices, such as communication about the 10,000 World Architects Exhibition, hosted by its Exhibition Executive Committee, or information regarding the service of our partner companies and others. Apart from the above, we will not share information about you with a third party without your permission.

We will not transfer your personal information to a third party without your consent unless under the stipulation of Personal Information Protection Law or other relevant laws and regulations.

-Entrusting of Personal Information-

When we entrust the handling of all or parts of your personal information to a third party, we conduct a rigorous research on the third party, and exercise supervision over the party as necessary and in an appropriate manner to ensure the entrusted personal information is managed securely.
We may entrust the handling of your personal information to a third party when we work in cooperation with the third party in entry registration, application registration or other operations.

We manage your personal information securely by launching necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent loss, destruction, alteration and leakage of personal information.

-Disclosure, Correction and Deletion of Personal Information-

We will promptly respond to requests to disclose personal information when such requests are made by the owner of the personal information. We will not disclose information or respond to a request in case we are unable to confirm the identity of the individual submitting the request.
When a request to correct, add, or delete personal information is made by the owner of personal information with the aim of revising an error in the personal information, we will investigate the matter and respond promptly.
